Chairman's Message
Music For Good is only in its second year of operations and even as we exceeded our own expectations in year one, we look forward to rolling out more music outreach programs for our primary beneficiaries - youths-at-risk, youths/children with illnesses and under-privileged youths.
Formed in May 2004 by a group of musicians and music lovers, Music For Good's initial goals were to get youths-at-risk off the streets by providing a positive influence and creative outlet in music. Since then, we have expanded our activities to include organising events for charity organisations, fund-raising concerts, and conducting music programs/workshops for kids with illnesses and hospital patients.
We have formed valuable partnerships with various youth, government, and welfare organisations to carry out our mission of enriching young lives through music as well as to impart new skills, encourage peer interaction, build self-esteem and confidence in our beneficiaries.
As a non-profit voluntary organisation with only a handful of part-time staff, we rely heavily on our volunteers to run our administration and activities. I am inspired and grateful for their dedication, passion and hard work. We are always seeking for new dynamic volunteers to inject fresh ideas and energy. Corporate donors are also needed and most welcome to partner us to reach out to our beneficiaries.
I would also like to thank all our supporters and sponsors especially the National Volunteers & Philanthropy Centre, Rosemary Chng & Associates, Music Clef, Ranking Music & Sports, Beats-Society, and Samuel Seow Law Corporation for their generosity and assistance. Your faith in our cause has given us strength to intensify our level of commitment in serving our mission.
