Quiet: The New Loud
December 18, 2004 @ Singapore Art Museum

In the midst of loud electric gigs in Singapore, Quiet: The New Loud strived to bring back the beauty and complexity of acoustic music, in line with the global revival of a "new" singer-songwriter sound. It was an intimate and memorable night for the 150 strong audience with Electrico, Force Vomit, Kelvin Tan and special guest Malaysian singer-songwriter Shelley Leong.

On The Waterfront
October 29-31, 2004 @ Esplanade Outdoor Stage

It was an eclectic weekend at the Esplanade outdoor stage. Phorous and Prana vs r-H made it a groovy Friday. 14-year-old sitar prodigy Krsna Das' performance had to be cancelled due to bad weather. Fortunately, the skies held out for Ustad Sharafat Khan and the percussion group Taal. Eugene's Moment Of Truth and Typewriter wrapped up the weekend with good ol' rocking music.

Arts For Health
September 24, 2004 @ SGH

Music For Good organised the Arts For Health performance on Friday, September 24 at the Singapore General Hospital. Due to the threatening skies, the performance was moved indoors on level 9, which was a pity, as the Fireflys couldn't do their fire-twirling act. However, the group had a contingency plan and used light sticks instead. The percussionists were simply awesome! Next, Knik from Circus Outreach and his two sidekicks entertained the crowd with a clown act that was funny and entertaining. The hospital patients, volunteers and everybody who was there had a most enjoyable time.

Victoria School Arts Day
May 26, 2004 @ Victoria School

Our first project was to help organise a music education workshop with two teachers from Victoria School for the school’s Arts Day on May 26, 2004. Two of our Society members were involved with the two teachers and a student drummer. We performed songs for the students, explained how the music is put together and the sound of the various instruments, took them through a brief history of pop music, explained the social circumstances that gave rise to various music like the blues and punk rock. We also showed them how a song can be played in different styles. The hour-long workshop was fun, entertaining and educational for everybody involved.
